It's Not Merely the Frame . . .

We use the WIZARD, a computerized mat cutting system, to insure you the best quality cut. We can personalize your mat with your initials, dinosaurs, dolphins, flowers or creative corners.

To dress up your mat, you can also use a fillet on the inside of the bevel. This often repeats the design you have selected in your frame.

Over the mat is the glass. We use only picture framing quality glass. Glass from hardware stores has a slight green tint and isn’t visually attractive.

Regular picture framing glass has about a 45% UV filter.

We offer TruVue conservation glass.

There are several choices here:

Conservation clear has a 98% UV filter and looks like regular glass
TruVue conservation non-glare has a 98% UV filter with a non-glare finish
Museum glass has the same filter but is less reflective than all the other glasses and gives the appearance of no glass

Acrylic glazing comes in the conservation quality as well and is often used for larger pieces.

The new American made museum glass from Tru Vue is so clear, so invisible, you will swear there is no glass on your framing at all. Despite that, this glass provides 99% ultra violet filter, the highest preservation quality and the highest optical clarity available.
